The Lotus Esprit is a mid-engined 2 seater sports car produced by Lotus Cars from 1976 to 2004. The car was designed by initially Giorgetto Giugiaro. It was re-styled by Peter Stevens in 1987 to a more rounded shape

The Esprit was powered by a variety of engines over the years, including four-cylinder 2.0, 2.2, ( both naturally aspirated and Turbocharged variants) and V8 engines. In its most powerful form, the car was capable of producing over 350 horsepower, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 4 seconds.

One of the most notable features of the Esprit was its distinctive styling, which was characterized by sharp angles and wedge-shaped design. The car was also known for its advanced aerodynamics, which helped to reduce drag and improve performance.

Throughout its production run, the Esprit was updated several times with new engines, transmissions, and other features. The car was also used in several movies, including the James Bond film “The Spy Who Loved Me”, where it was famously featured as a submarine. The later X180 esprit featured in “Pretty Woman”

Today, the Lotus Esprit is considered a classic sports car, and is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. Despite its age, the car’s advanced styling and performance continue to attract fans, and it remains a popular choice for those seeking a unique and high-performance driving experience.
